100 Most influential Pictures April 20, 2022 Falling Man: I chose this photo because I was interested in finding out why someone would photograph this but this man would either die from a collapsing building or jump out of it. He decided to jump out of it and a photographer named Richard Drew captured it. DalĂ Atomicus: I chose this photo because I like the way that everything is up in the air. Philippe Halsman was photographing an artist but he knew that a simple portrait would catch anyone’s attention, he wanted to o something unique so assistants were on the side throwing cats and water, it took them 26 takes to get the final result. Portrait photography was now more popular. Leap Into Freedom: I chose this photo because I was interested in finding out why it is called Leap Into Freedom. A press photographer Peter Leibing was tipped off that a defection might happen so he and another cameraman went and watched what happened. A 19 year old boarder guard was telling an East German soldier to come over the barricade and Schumann who said he didn’t want to “live enclosed” ran for the barricade and jumped over it.
